The MAISON&OBJET Observatoire invites you to get a taste of PRECIOUS though our new Inspiration forum. Precious and preciousness can be expressed in many ways. The word instantly evokes cut gem stones in intriguing settings, raw materials made more beautiful by the human spirit. In art, precious means great delicacy, brilliance, even wealth. It is often associated with gold, mirrors and ornaments. But while all that is valuable is precious, preciousness does not hold the same value for everyone. From superficial showiness to the very essence of life, preciousness creates a dialogue between excessive materialism and the most extreme fragility.
